At Stethen-Smith Construction Company, we take pride in value engineering and project cost savings while producing a quality project.  We work with the architect, subcontractors and vendors to find the most economical methods of construction along with obtaining the best material pricing for each project.  We look at a minimum of three subcontractors and three vendors for each discipline of work and choose the one that is most qualified and quality conscious while providing us with a fair cost.  
Our estimators are always thinking about alternative solutions that can be discussed with the architect to reduce the cost of the project.  Assigning a seasoned project manager and on-site superintendent to every project helps to control quality.  We have a good source of quality conscious subcontractors to choose from and our on-site superintendent inspects all work daily to insure that our quality standards are met.


Schedules are created using the Critical Path Method of scheduling.  With this software, we can easily make adjustments to the schedule and plot progress of each activity involved with the project.  


We have detailed cost accounting software which tracks the cost of every project individually.  Budgets are established for each segment of a project and the project manager uses this information by reviewing a daily cost record so he can manage the project cost.
